I saw this performance on 10th June at the Arcola Theatre.

This was an excellent production in this small studio theare in Dalston.

X-Men: First Class

I saw this film on 6 June at Stratford Picture House

An excellent further chapter in the history of the X-Men. Beautiful photography, complicated but tight plot, full explanation for Professor X's back injury and for Magnetos's madness. Surprisingly this was NOT made in 3D but it was far better than many that are.

Rambert Dance Company

I saw this performance on 24th May
at Sadlers Wells Theatre

Cardoon Club - When I saw this last year I was not overly impressed. this time I very much enjoyed it and it would have made an excellent closing piece rather than an opener.

Monolith - A very enjoyable piece. I look forward to more of Tim Rushton

Roses - Superb dancing of course but somehow it left me with a feeling of stress.

The Cherry Orchard

I saw this performance on 20th May at the National Theatre Olivier.

A wonderful performance with a surprisingly modern feel.

I saw this film on 16 May at Stratford Picture House

Good, action packed, thrill a minute and enjoyable nonsense. Cate Blanchett is a superbly nasty villain and Saoirse Ronan's closing remark is a nicely made reference to the opening scene.
